Yes, all of our classes are mixed level, so they are completely fine for beginners. There are different levels to the moves and poses, so there something that everyone can do & your teacher is there to help and support you. We do however, also offer monthly Beginners courses, as we know that some people feel more comfortable starting their aerial yoga journey in a dedicated course.
Wear something that you feel comfortable exercising in. Most people wear leggings or tracksuit bottoms, shorts aren't suitable, & a t-shirt or vest top. You should also bring a hoody or sweatshirt for the beginning & end of class.
You don't have to be super slim or have an athletic build to do aerial yoga. However, our hammocks are safety tested to 21 stone, so due to heath and safety requirements, thats our weight limit.
No, aerial yoga is very different to other forms of yoga, so it doesn't matter if you haven't done any yoga before, as it doesn't necessarily help with your aerial yoga practice.
Aerial yoga can help ease or alleviate back and neck pain, as the hammocks allow us to hang upside down, decompressing and releasing tension in the spine. Its a full body work out, so will improve your overall fitness, strength and flexibility. It has positive effects on mental health, as while you practice your body release endorphins, as in normal fitness classes, but it also releases a tiny bit of adrenaline too. Its great for boosting self esteem, as the hammocks allow you to get into poses and do sequences that you don't think you'll be able to. It stimulates neural pathways in the brain, because we are getting ourselves off the ground & at points are upside down, or brain works in a different way to when were on the ground. And above all, its really good fun!!
Yes, our youngest age limit for our classes is 16 years old. We offer children's classes that run on a half termly basis & from time to time we offer one off family yoga sessions, so your little ones don't miss out, but unless they're 16 they can't come to class with you.
Yes, you always need to book your class. We have a limited number of hammocks, so we need to manage the spaces & the fairest way to do this is that everyone books online. We also have no way of accepting payments at the studio.
If you are unable to attend it is important that you let us know, so that we don't delay the start of class by waiting for you. If you are unable to attend class, please message us as soon as you can. We operate a 24 hour cancellation policy, if you cancel 24 hours before class, you will get the class credited back to your account.
Yes, Natalie offers private one to one or group sessions. Please send us a message if you're interested in finding out more or booking a private session.
We do have a small number of car parking spaces outside of the studio. For morning classes these fill up very quickly, but the lovely people at Magnet Kitchens allow us to use their carpark. (Please ensure that you park on the side that is in front of Magnet) For evening classes you can park outside the other units on the industrial estate, as they are closed in the evenings.
No, unfortunately we are not covered by our insurance to have children waiting unsupervised reception.
